Control systems run plants. They also connect to networks that can be attacked. We design for both. Our approach rests on four principles.
Four Principles
1. Automation expertise first.
Good controls engineering carries across industries. We pair it with your staff’s process knowledge.
2. The control network is not an office network.
Plant networks need uptime and deterministic response. We design them on their own terms.
3. Security is designed in.
We follow ISA/IEC 62443. We divide the system into zones and control the paths between them. We do not add security after the fact.
4. Build from the inside out.
We build and test the most critical functions first, then work outward.
Architecture
We follow the ISA-95 model. Field devices, controllers, supervisory systems and business systems each sit in their own layer. An industrial DMZ separates the plant from the business network. Data reaches the office without exposing the controls.
How a Project Runs
I. Discovery.
We learn your process, constraints and goals. We write the user requirements and a compliance matrix.
II. Design.
We produce functional and detailed design documents. You approve them before we build.
III. Build.
We build panels in our Jacksonville shop to UL 508A and UL 698A standards.
IV. Factory Acceptance Test.
You test the system in our shop before it ships.
V. Installation and Site Acceptance Test.
We commission in stages, starting with the most critical functions. Each stage passes a check before the next begins.
VI. Turnover.
You receive as-built drawings, documented code, manuals and training.
Code Your Staff Can Maintain
We write programs for the people who will run the plant. Clear structure. Plain comments. No black boxes.
Platform Neutral
We work with Rockwell, Siemens, GE, AVEVA, Schneider Modicon and Omron. We also build SQL and .NET data systems. We recommend what fits your plant, not what fits us.
Smart Systems, Firm Limits
Analytics and AI can suggest better setpoints. Deterministic control logic decides what runs. Safety limits stay in hardwired and PLC logic.
